Step aboard HMS Warrior for a heartwarming Victorian Christmas experience, where the ship comes alive with the sights, sounds and traditions of Christmas past, including a very special meeting with Father Christmas!

Wander the festive decks of HMS Warrior, beautifully decorated for Christmas by her merry crew. Hear the ship’s brass band playing popular Victorian carols, join in with the singing and hand bells, or discover the wonder of a Victorian magic lantern show.

Feel the spirit of Christmas aboard the ship as the crew prepare their annual variety Christmas show, bringing to life the music, stories and merriment that would have filled HMS Warrior’s decks at Christmas in her heyday. Join in with traditional crew festivities, including the judging of the best-decorated mess and tastiest plum duff, presided over by the ship’s very own Merry Lord of Misrule, the youngest ship’s boy, taking on the role of Captain for the Day.

There’s plenty for families to enjoy on board, from traditional parlour games, Victorian Christmas crafts and deck games, a Christmas present trail inspired by the real crew of HMS Warrior and opportunities to dress up like a Victorian sailor.

Finally, step into the Captain’s Cabin, where Father Christmas awaits. Meet him in his traditional Victorian guise, share your Christmas wishes and receive a special Victorian gift to complete the perfect festive day out.
