Stronger Shores

Dive into Stronger Shores this May Half Term, a magical underwater adventure for families at Royal Navy Museums Hartlepool, featuring a lively show and hands-on craft workshop from Theatre Space NE CIC.

Looking for something fun, creative, and a little bit different this May Half Term? Join us for Stronger Shores, an exciting underwater theatre experience for families of all ages.

Join us at 2pm on Monday 25 May, for an exciting 40-minute show which takes you beneath the waves of the North Sea to discover the hidden heroes of our ocean. Guided by a friendly seal, you’ll explore underwater environments including oyster reefs, kelp forests, and seagrass meadows... all of which help keep our seas clean and full of life!

Created by Theatre Space NE CIC and brought to life with colourful puppets made by local communities, Stronger Shores draws audiences into an imaginative underwater world while gently encouraging curiosity about the natural environment.

But the fun doesn’t stop there…

After the show, families are invited to get creative in a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you can make your own jellyfish puppet – inspired by the characters you’ve just seen on stage. It’s a great way to continue the experience and take something home with you!

Whether you’re planning a day out with the kids or just looking for something a bit different this half term, Stronger Shores is a lovely way to spend time together, enjoy live performance, learn something new and get stuck into something creative afterwards.

This event is free with a valid museum ticket.
